Common requirements
(1) Those who have received or will receive an middle school diploma in Feb. 2009, in Gyeonggi province, and other cities & provinces where there is no international high school. (Graduates of a middle school located in Seoul, Pusan and Incheon where there is an international high school are not allowed to apply.)
(2) Those who passed an eligibility test to apply for a high school, and those who are recognized to have an equivalence of middle school graduation by the Minister of Education. (Residents of Gyeonggi province, cities and other provinces where there is no international high school.)

- those who attended both a domestic middle school and an overseas school should be in top 5% of percentile rank in English at a domestic school or scores of A and above in all subjects (except for music, arts and P.E.) at an overseas school for the latest 4 semesters
- those who took mixed classes in Korean and English in more than 3 subjects for at least 3 semesters
Other languages 3 Japanese : 2nd grade or better in JLPT (more than 300 of score), or a score of 350 or above in JPT
Chinese : 6th grade or better in HSK
Foreigners 2 both parents or either of parents and the applicant are foreign nationals
School-recommended 30 those recommended by a school principal for meeting one of the following requirements
- in top 7% of average percentile score in 5 subjects (Korean, math, social studies, science and English) for the final 4 semesters
- an expectant graduate of a middle school specialized in international studies
Regular admissions 20 the same as the common requirements specified above
Extra adjustable quota Special-case admissions 2 those subject to Article 82, Section3 Clause 2 and Clause 3, Korea's Primary and Secondary Education Law

*An essay will be written in English in all the admissions categories except for other foreign languages category, in which case Japanese and Chinese will be used.
*An aptitude test will evaluate a Korean proficiency level and the ability to adapt in overall social life (the same as regular admissions).

(2)Selection method
Students will be admitted based on a total score that includes middle school records.

(3) Scoring criteria
① When there are school records for more than 1 semester out of 1st semester, 2nd semester, 2nd grade, and 1st semester of the 3rd grade, curriculum & weighted scores will be calculated using the domestic school records only.
Reflection rate by semester 1st semester,2nd grade (15%)/2nd semester,2nd grade(20%)/1st semester,3rd grade(35%)/2nd semester,3rd grade(30%)
(But, in the case of 2nd semester of 3rd grade, the mid-term scores only are reflected.)

② Score calculation for those who passed a high school eligibility test
- English evaluation results and the combined scores from a comprehensive aptitude test, speaking and interview will be ranked as a percentile score, which is put into the conversion table in ① to have the final score

③ Scoring based on overseas school records
- In the event that there is no curriculum test score at all from a domestic middle school as the applicant completed 8th and 9th grades at an overseas school or got transferred to a domestic middle school to attend the 2nd semester of 3rd grade not having any score record for 1st semester and 2nd semester of 2nd grade and 1st semester of 3rd grade, the total sum of an English evaluation score, comprehensive aptitude test, speaking and interview scores is ranked as a percentile score, which is put into the conversion table in ① to have the final score.

* Three times of being late and leaving school early is considered one day of absence.
* When a person with disability is left unable to do community service, attachment of a proving document will give the applicant a score 5.

- Those who have score records from an overseas school and those who passed an high school eligibility test: absence and social service scores will be assigned to the combined score derived from an English proficiency evaluation, a comprehensive aptitude test, a speaking test and interview.

⑤Rounding off the numbers to three decimal places.
In case of percentile ranking, the third number behind a dot shall be rounded up.
1) Extra adjustable quota : Students here are selected in the same way as students of foreign nationality are admitted and the admitted
2) Children of veterans & patriots : Applicants in this category must have academic credentials as good as or better than those applicants falling in the regular admissions category to be admissible, and the number of the admitted students from this category will not be larger than 3% of the fixed quota.

Common Documents
(1) After making an online application, 1 application form sealed by the principal of the attended primary school
(2) 1 copy of a primary school transcript (verified by a principal upon comparison with the original copy), 1 copy of report cards (verified by the Educational Superintendent upon comparison with the original copy) for those who took an eligibility test for a middle school admission, a transcript of an overseas school in the case of those who studied overseas, and a certificate of the expectant graduation for those scheduled to graduate in time for next year's admissions.

※ All documents written in a foreign language other than English should be translated into Korean and notarized thereafter.

Students will be chosen based on the rankings of the total combined scores.
When more than two students tie in a final score, be it special admissions or regular admissions, a priority will be given to English listening & reading, essay, comprehensive aptitude test and interview & speaking in this order.
A person considered incapable of handling CSIA coursework
A person found to have falsified a submitted document
A person who has an infectious disease
In case of a judgement that there is no applicant deemed capable of taking the CSIA courses, we will likely admit students out of those who failed to be accepted in another admissions category. (But, in case there is no appropriate applicant even from other admission categories, we might admit no applicant at all, no matter what the threshold score or the predetermined quota is.)
Those who were admitted to CSIA are prohibited from applying for a 2010 high school admissions process carried out by a municipal & provincial office of education or another high school.
As for an early graduate or early promoter, his or her curriculum scores are drawn upon school scores garnered from the last semester attended going back through the 4 semesters.
Admissions results shall not be made public
Submitted documents shall not be returned
High schools are free to set their own entrance and tuition fees
The admitted students are required to submit a copy of middle school transcript after graduation. (the timing will be announced later)
Any issue other than those addressed here shall be determined and implemented by the CSIA admissions committee
All new students must check into the school dormitory and receive a physical check-up before being admitted
