At CheongShim International Academy (CSIA),
we prioritize enriching our students' education through a diverse range of extracurricular activities. These
activities are fundamental to our educational philosophy, fostering essential life skills and building a vibrant
community. Our students engage in over 70 student-run organizations and clubs, providing numerous opportunities for
personal growth and exploration. Among these are internationally recognized clubs such as Model United Nations and
Round Square, alongside specialized groups like the CSIA Morning Music Committee, CheongShim Monthly Journal, and
the Miracle Morning Student Committee. Our arts clubs span a variety of creative expressions, including drama,
dance, music, and visual arts. For those seeking physical challenges, we offer sports clubs like cross-country,
fencing, kabaddi, soccer, and more.
A significant aspect of our club activities
is the support provided to underclassmen through initiatives such as the CheongShim Mentoring Program (CSMP). Within
CSIA's academically rigorous environment, CSMP plays a crucial role in fostering lasting connections among
students.
Aligned with our commitment to social responsibility,
our students are deeply dedicated to community service and peaceful activism. They actively address critical global
issues such as climate change, desertification, and civil rights, raising funds and supporting schools in need by
supplying textbooks, workbooks, and stationery.
*CSIAMUN:
CheongShim International Academy Model United Nations (CSIAMUN) is a Model United Nations (MUN)
conference organized by high school students from CSIA. In 2023, students successfully hosted the 15th iteration
of CSIAMUN, with over 100 partici- pants from across the nation. In 2024, building on the foundation laid by the
class of 2024's secretariat members, who navi- gated the organization through the challenges posed by the
pandemic, students aim to expand the conference's reach on a global scale.
*Round Square:
Round Square is a global alliance of schools dedicated to promoting the educational principles
encapsulated in the IDEALS (Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership, and Service).
A unique advantage for CSIA students is their ability to leverage the Round Square international network. This
enables them to partake in study-abroad programs, attend international conferences, and collaborate with
students from around the world to develop various initiatives.
